Glen was a Specialist three squad leader who trained in Germany. He received the Marksman Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He said the best time he had in the Army was when his squad was chosen to make a training film for Infantry Soldiers who were working with tank groups. He said the worst is when he had be on liberty and returned to find out that one of his friends had stepped on a phosphorus shell and had had his leg blown off.
